Hopi Ear Candles

What are Hopi Ear Candles?

Hopi Ear Candles or thermo auricular therapy candles are made from hollow tubes made of cotton/flax, soaked in beeswax, honey and herbs. When lit, the candle acts like a chimney, causing the warm air inside it to rise and creating a vacuum at the bottom. This vacuum gently stimulates the ear, facilitating removal of excess wax and impurities, and the smoke helps soften the ear wax. Today we use Hopi ear candles to relieve ear, nose, throat and sinus problems. Regular use may prevent recurrent infections, may help with improving hearing and may help to keep levels of wax balanced.

Where does it originate?

Hopi ear candles originate from the Hopi people, the oldest Pueblo tribe or native American Indians. Traditionally ear candles were used as a means of purification in spiritual practices but were also used to treat ear, nose and throat problems.

Hopi Ear Candles are believed to help with:

  • Reduction of ear wax
  • Relief from ear, nose and throat infections
  • Relief from sinus infections
  • Relaxation whilst you enjoy the sounds of the Hopi ear candles
  • Becoming spiritually aware as the candles drain the negative energy from you
