What is Homeopathy?
Homeopathy is a full natural medical system, which has been around in this form since the late 18th Century. Homeopaths recognise that symptoms of ill health are expressions of disharmony within the whole person; we therefore treat physical and emotional illnesses together. Homeopathic remedies are believed to clear symptoms but through the process of the consultation we also help patients deal with the cause of their illness. Each patient is different and will therefore be treated as an individual.
Where does it originate from?
Homeopathy originates from many indigenous and shamanic people, who made their medicines with the natural ingredients around them and shook or struck them in order to use them as medicine. Homeopathy was then developed by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, who was based in Germany, in the late 18th century. He created, blind tested and developed many Homeopathic remedies, before moving on to develop the full natural medical system we now know as Homeopathy.
Homeopathy is believed to help with:
- Physical, mental and emotional complaints
- Fertility, pregnancy, birthing and beyond
- Fears and Phobias
- Weight management
- Anger management
- Pain management
- Habit/addiction management
