What is Emotional Freedom Technique?

EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Technique; it is a combination of acupressure and hypnotherapy. We stimulate the meridian points (acupressure points) by tapping on them with our fingertips, whilst verbalising the feelings we are having trouble dealing with. Since emotional stress can contribute to pain, disease and physical ailments, we often find that EFT provides astonishing physical relief, as well as amazing emotional relief.

Where does it originate?

EFT originated from TFT (Thought Field Therapy) which was discovered by Dr. Roger Callahan in the 1980’s. Callahan had been studying acupuncture and kinesiology and the influences of both these disciplines can be seen in EFT.

EFT was developed by Gary Craig from the USA in the mid 90’s, it has continued to evolve as therapists from all over the globe discover ever more ways to use this revolutionary healing technique.
